how to add the external source Vcc at optocoupler ? and connect it to the USB DAQ

I want to connet My daq to Optocupler for count RPM , i use PFI 0 anda Groud and connet to Vout and Negatif Optocoupler. But Optocupler need Vcc and my daq doesn't have sourcE, How do I get source ?And how wiring it?

please Help me..

I'm not exactly sure what kind of device you're trying to connect; are you trying to do analog input or analog output?

According to the manual the MyDAQ has a +5V source pin. (And even if not , you migth abuse a digital output as a source (with a max current according to the manual/spec)  😉 )

You didn't mention the type of OC you want to use. Assuming a standard one:

Add a 10k pull up resistor from +5 to the coupler open collector out  (and your digital in)  and then from the coupler emitter out  to DGND.

If you are not shure, post a link to the datasheet of the OC.
