how to use the internal timebase as the source for counter?

I am using  PCI6602 board. The shipping example to generate a coutinuous pulse train does not have the function to choose the internal timebase as the source. Is it the defaut value? What's the timebase if I generate the pulse train through the test panel in Measurement and Automation Explorer? Thanks.

Hi,

Thank you for posting to the NI forums.  Unless you choose to use an external source, the NI 660x series will, by default, choose an appropriate timebase (either 100kHz, 20MHz, or 80Mhz) based on the frequency of your counter.  This information can be found in the TIO Series Help – a link is provided below.

Check out the “Counter n Source Signals” section in the Counters >> Counter Timing Signals section.

Please post back if you have any further questions.  Thanks!
