What would be the recommended (cheapest) Dell desktop for installing and calibrating the PCIe 6259 board using Cal Exec 3.3?

Hey de1043,

If all you need to put in the desktop is the PCIe-6259, I would just purchase the cheapest dell desktop that would physically fit the device and contains atleast 1 x1 or greater PCI express slot.  You can find the physical requirements in the specifications document here.  Take a look at page 11.  It states the PCIe-6259 circuit board is 9.9 x 16.8 cm.  Unfortunately, we don't have a recommended desktop.  As long as the desktop complies with the PCIe standard, it should work.

Regards,

Paul C.

Paul has some good points!

One question I would be asking myself at this point since you want to use this set-up for calibration.  Is calibration REALY something you want to do on the cheap or, is reliability more important here?
