please help with occupancy detection

Hi Everyone!!

I am trying to simulate an occupancy detection control using LABVIEW.  It uses 2 infrared sensors at 2 different horizontal distanceson the door!

If IR1 first detects the presence of the person followed by IR2, Entry is asserted and vice versa for EXIT!!

But my problem is "how to make LAbview detect the Delay od the 2 signals and respond accordingly!!

Please help guys. I have also attached a pic to get the prob more clear!!

see the attached example. Maybe there is an easier way, but i didn't found it now.

here it is.

you should also add a timeout. Maybe someone enter IR1 but not IR2, then you have to reset the event from IR1 after some time.
