power measurement system

I would like to measure the operate condition by using NI-DAQ (USB 6009)

For example, measure the voltage of load when zero then switch on an indicator.....

I have no idea to develop it.....

Hope you can help me solve this problem.

I will appreciate all of your guidances. Looks forward your reply eagerly.

Thank you very much.

Hi,

Please have a look here. These VIs should help you in developing your application

My LabVIEW version is 8.5, the example u shown is for 8.6.....

I cannot read it.......

thanks for ur examples.... but i still no idea to construct the block diagram(-_-|||)

By using the DAQ(USB 6009), if i just want to measure a load with 12volts, is it possible to do that?

should i take any caution to prevent damage of my DAQ?

You cannot use the USB 6009 to measure 12V. If you have a look at the specs, the max voltage range is -10V to +10V

OK, that means I can make sure the voltage below 10volts(DC) by using DAQ, am I right?

Hello Kelvin,

That would means that you need to make sure that the voltage input into the DAQ is always between the operating range.

The DAQ doesn't regulate the input voltage level.

If that's what you mean, then you are correct.

All the best.

Hi Kelvin,

I'm not sure what do you mean that you still cannot write a block diagram, but if problem comes from you lack of knowledge about tools in LabVIEW, you probably taking tutorial in https://learn.ni.com/learn/article/labview-tutorial

Thanks I have read the tutorial, it is helpful...

Can u show me some examples about LABview software work with sensor or getting data by using DAQ (USB 6009)...

Thank you very much...
