"Waveform has different dt value" Error

Hi all,

I have problem with my labview VI. I am trying to form a waveform using mathematical superposition. Everything works fine and it is able to form the waveform smoothly. However, when i try to increase the sampling freqency of the waveform, i get this error: "Waveform has different dt value". (Look at attached image). When the VI is stopped, the block diagram was highlighted as shown in a red circle in attached image 2.

I wish to sample higher mainly because i think this will help to smoothen the waveform when i feed the waveform to an analogue output card. As of now, the waveform from the AO card is not smooth which i believe is due to this.

Please help

Best Regards

Hi Ridwan,

Thanks for the post and I hope your well today.

I have noticed so far that you've no received any support.

Would it be possible to post an example peice of code which generates this error?

To resample a waveform you could use one of the express vi's. Please read the following link: Using the Align and Resample Express VI

I have also found the following forum advice

" function of the "dx" parameter but apparently it has nothing to do with allowing X,Y data to be overlaid easier in the limit/mask VIs.  I hope that this entry helps someone."

I would like to be more useful, but I would really need to see the code.

Kind Regards,
