simultaneous data collection pci-6221

Hi, I use pci-6221 DAQ for voltage and temperature data collection. can I simultaneous collect the two data (temperature and voltage) in different channels on the same DAQ? if not, would you like to give me a solution? Thanks.

Yes, you can easily acquire multiple channels in a single task but since they won't be truly simultaneous because the channels are scanned sequentially. Just run one of the shipping examples or use the DAQ Assistant.

Yes, but now I want to collect continuous simultaneous with two sets data, please give me a solution. thanks.

The solutions are in the shipping examples, as I already mentioned. Exactly what code have you written and where exactly are you having problems?

The members fo this board are more prone to help when we see code and tend not to write a program for someone.

Thanks, your mean we can collect two sets data with two channels alternately, but can not  be simultaneous. we definitely want the two continuous set data. Such as: Figure: voltage as a function of temperature.

PS: I do not need you write a code for me, I just want to know the possibility of two sets of data collection simultaneous using this pci-6221. if not,  i will buy a new DAQ?

As I already said, the board does not do truly simultaneous sampling. The interchannel delay is very small but still there (microseconds) and you can certainly continuously plot channel 1 versus channel 2. What would you consider an acceptable delay between channels? A voltage versus temperature plot would not seem to require a true simultaneous sampling DAQ board.

Thank for you replying, actually, I want to get resistance and temperature figure, I provide a constant current and collect voltatage data and then get resistance data and temperataure data. I think the dalay of 0.1~0.01s should be accepted.

Thanks,
