srs 810 in labview

I am trying to read the data of SRS 810  lock in amplifier  from only one channel so that i can make a chart recorder kind of graph via  labview.  I want to see the signal over a period of time and i am not able to do it. I have the gpib installed in PC and  it even sees and identifies the amplifier , but it does not talk.
Does anybody have a  quick program to do this? I even tried installing any possible hardware drivers for SRS 810 and it  still does not help.

When you say you "tried installing any possible hardware drivers for SRS 810", does that mean you installed the instrument driver? I have no experience with this instrument but if you are using the driver, do you get any errors and if so, what is the error code?

thanks for the help. Now the srs 810  seems to be talking to  my gpib. I am nwe to labview, is there a way to have a simple labview program which only reads  the display from the  lock in oscillator  and writes in a txt file which i can later  plot as  function of time.
