Hello Rajkumar,
Has this problem been reproduced with your device on another computer, or is this a problem with only one PC? Do other USB devices not detect on this computer? What kind of system are you running? What version of NI-DAQmx are you using? Does the problem occur when the computer boots up or will the device disppear after initially being connected? What do you have to do to reestablish connection the the USB-6501?
The answers to these questions would be very helpful in diagnosing exactly what is going on with your system.

Hi,
Thanks for the update, sorry to hear that your having trouble. just to add my ideas..
The usb 6501 is bus powered - is the green power LED on at all?
Secondly, if you look in Windows Device Manger (Control Panel>>Systems..). Are any USB Devices listed?
Kind Regards,
James.

Hi Raj,
Thanks for the update.
It seems like the device is working then.
Please could you try,
Use the Device Manager to scan for new hardware.
Follow these steps:
1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. Type: Devmgmt.msc in the Open box, and then click OK.
3. On the Action menu, click Scan for hardware changes.
(This causes Windows to recognize new devices)
4. Close Device Manager and Control Panel.
Also, make sure Service Pack 2 for Windows XP is installed.
Could you please send a screenshoot of windows device manager to confirm the absence of the USB device.
You could also try,
Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the USB Root Hub device(s),
Action menu, "Uninstall", then restart Windows, to find the device drivers
again automatically.
Please let us know how you get on,
Kind Regards,
James.
