usb device not recognized

Hi,

I have a USB-6216 device and when I plug it in the USB I get the message: "USB-device not recognized"

All USB ports on my computer give me the same error.

Also with another USB-cable.

When I take another USB-6216, it gives me the same error.

Now I tried with a USB-6501 device and it is recognized immediately (on that same USB-port with the same USB-cable)

Measurement and Automation Explorer 4.7.0

DAQmx 9.1.7

Labview Runtime engine 8.6

I reinstalled the DAQmx software but no effect.

On another PC with the same software I have no problems with that device.

What can there be wrong?

Hello,

Eureka I found it.

I also have a Belkin USB to Ethernet adaptor on my computer and when I plug in the Ethernet adaptor first I always get the error "usb device not recognized" when I plug in my DAQ USB 6216 device. Strange because with a USB 6501 I don't have that problem.

Solution: plug in first the DAQ and then the Ethernet adaptor.
