I believe that was an internal part for some of our preliminary USB devices. It was never offered by itself (unless someone corrects me). You would have to use it as part of the original hardware set it was sold as. Should have been a DAQ or DMM device of some kind.

is there any way for you (or someone) to find out what it was originally installed in?

Reichenbach,
That is an internal part to some of National Instruments’ devices that were made as early as 1997 – 1998, and was used through the mid 2000’s; these devices were typically DAQ and computer-based instruments as gaving mentioned. What are you looking for?
Thanks

we found it amugst our parts and are trying to identify it. we have a TON of NI equipment in our lab and do not have time to open them all up to determine what it goes to. Nor to we want to recycle it. We'd like to identify it and catalog/store it with that information.
can i give you a serial number and have you figure it from there?
S/N C1DE0D
P/N 184306B-01
thanks!

reichenbach,
That puts me closer, but still short, to identifying the card. This serial number is one of many, but won’t tell me what the board is. Do you see other serial numbers, CCA (Circuit Card Assembly), etc.?
Thanks

No CCA but I have additional part numbers:
184308B-01
11VRM 891000577

reichenbach,
PN 184308B-01 is a USB-to-PCI adapter, and doesn’t further identify the product. The other part you listed is another child part. If you prefer getting this accomplished sooner, may I recommend calling our Technical Representatives. If you have the product in front of you, and you have someone on the line, this may be resolved faster. Their number is 800-433-3488, and give your zip code when asked. I’m personally monitoring your post here so if you prefer this route, that’s okay, too.
Thanks

reichenbach,
Were you able to get this item identified yesterday? If not, you can provide another part number or serial number for me to research. I will be watching this thread again today.
