writing an .xls file or other file type

hi all,

is there another file type i can write out instead of Excel file? I have more than the limiting no. of 65,536 data pts that excel can save or am i just stuck with buying the DIA-DEM product from NI? I routinely use IGOR data plotting and manipulation s/w that can import any space or comma delimited asci text files.

thanks for any help on this subject.

You can write to any file format that you want - text, binary, xml, database, etc. There's Write to Spreadsheet file for delimited text files (comma, space, tab, or whatever) and several shipping examples show how to write binary files.

Hi,

If you are looking to write more than the 60,000 or so data points, then DIA-Dem is a perfect fit. That is partially why it was developed. Have a Great Day!
