ADC0808 in MultiSIM

Hello,

I am trying to build a interface circuit with 8051 and the ADC0808 for my project. But, I have discovered that the MultiSIM does not have the ADC0808 in his database. How I could get the ADC0808? I am new to the MultiSIM and I would appreciate some help here.

Thanks,

Although this is probably not going to be much help there is a generic 8-bit ADC in the Master Database under the MIXED Category. This may work for the simulation side to at least to test your interface ciruit. When it comes to transfereing this to Ultiboard then you may have to create a symbol and hook it into the circuit and assign or create a footprint for it.

This may not be much help, but this is all I can advise you do to right now.

If you looking to understand how the ADC works, you can use the 0804, the only real difference is that the 0808 has 8 multiplexed inputs with 3 bit control vs a single input.

Other than that, you may want to post in the forums in my signature to see if someone has a model or something that may be helpful to you

All right. I am using him to test my circuit.

I think its working... I am testing to see the results.

Hi Chris,

Could you tell me where in the database you found your component? I looked in the master Databse for that number and came up empty. The only one I have hat has a model is the the Generic ADC under the MIXED Category.

I don't see it in version 10, but I know I saw it in version 8 and 9 because I've searched for it in the past.....weird

Thanks Chris. I thought I had either missed something in searching the database or had gone completely blind. Greatly appreciated.
