Analysis & Postprocessor

Solved!

Dear All,

I would like to know the use of an equation in 'Add Expression' in any analysis and 'Post Processor'?

What will be the difference that can be viewed in 'Grapher View?"

Thanks In Advance,

Sahoo.

Hi Sahoo,

Either method will plot the results in the grapher. If you choose to use the Add Expression method, the results are calculated as the simulation is running and is not as accurate. The benefit of using this is that you can see the results immediately and the results are updated on the grapher as simulation progresses.

To use the postprocessor, you must wait for simulation to complete first. The benefit of using the post processor is that it is generally more accurate. In most cases, the accuracy of either method is very good, but in certain situations, due to the nature of how Multisim handles the data, one may be more accurate than the other.

For small simulations and simple expressions, these two methods are more or less equal.

Hope that helps.
