Anyone else having multiple clearance issues with vias?

I seriously wish I was playing, but the dimensions of the board have already been extended and can not be adjusted for anything larger.....LOL

I already asked for an extension and that is the result.

I'm glad to see that we are/have gone down the same roads, putting it clearly on UB to be fixed.

I just don't get it.....there is clearly enough board space for routing, it just won't do it!

Oh and btw, you CAN move around the IC's anywhere you want as long as they are on the back side. The displays CAN NOT be moved. The connector can also be moved WITHIN 1/2 of its starting location. It must remain in the lower left hand corner......if that may or may not help...;)

I have managed to get it to 116 of 118, but it refuses to route the last 2 connections. What I have done is to place jumpers on the last to connections in order to complete the board. I know this jumper thing is not the best idea, but it is the only way I can find to make all the connections. This may be your only option (at least until NI issues some fixes for Ultiboard and Multisim).

I am going to post the updated file for you to examine and see if you can use it like this or not. Other than this, I am out of options to try.

Be advised that in order to get this to 116 of 118 I had to change some of the autorouter's options. This may or may not be satisfatory to you for this application. You can examine these options to see if they meet your requirements.

well the copy I gave you was "bad" in the sense that all the nets were 6 mils.....shouldn't have been. The POSV and GND should have been 16 and the rest 8 mils. I've gotten this to 117 of 118....then the routers takes a crap and dies and does some convoluted rerip!

I've attached it here.......I'm so sick of this mess.....:(

Darn, just about the time I think I have won the game you change the rulesSmiley Very Happy

I can't even get it to 117. Mine peters out at about 115. I don't know what elese to try here. I think we both have done just about everything we can think of on this. I will keep testing different things as time permits, but I rather doubt a solution is going to be found in the settings. The only solution I believe will work is when and if NI ever issues some patches.
