I want to use a 6 pin FPC connector for my project, is there a series of FPC models available somewhere or should I just make them as needed? Thanks, Tod

We do have *some* FPC board connectors in Ultiboard - that you would have to map to a specific cable symbol in Multisim. To view the available FPC cables in Ultiboard browse within the database to Ultiboard Master -> Through Hole Technology (or Surface Mount Technology) -> Connectors -> Flatcable.
Are there specific manufacturers (Hirose, Molex) or specific styles (right angle, vertical / SMT or TH) you are looking for?
In general there are not a huge variety of FPC connectors, but if you need the steps shown on how to do one, please let me know which P/N would have the most benefit to you. It is often the case you can use the wizards in Multisim and Ultiboard to speed through most of the symbol and model design for connectors. If you want a more elaborate 3D model within Ultiboard, this does take some additional time, but once you do one, it is not that difficult to add 3D 'facets' to make your PCB models more accurate and enhance your overall mechanical shapes / models in Ultiboard.
