Back annotate removes all components

Hi, first question on this board.  I must be back annotating incorrectly because everytime I do, it removes all of my components.  Even if I start by transferring from Multisim 10 to Ultiboard, save once, then try and back annotate from Multisim and select the log file, it removes everything.  Is there a step I'm missing?

Thanks

Hi,

It's hard determined what went wrong withtout looking at your file, you can contact us at NI Support if you want to send us the files.

For general information about forward and back annotation, you may want to read these articles.

I'm having a similar problem to this. I did the first version of the board layout and had it built and tested. It was decided to significantly change the design so basically the schematic was brand new. I deleted all the components from the Ultiboard design and then forward-annotated the new design over. I finished the placement and re-annotated all the parts but when I try to back-annotate to change all the reference designators it remembers that I deleted all the components at the beginning therefore it trys to delete all the same reference designators from the schematic first and then re-annotate. Is there any way to stop it from deleting all the components and only do the re-annotation of the reference designators?
