HELP - Multisim User Interface Problem

A colleague of mine encountered a problem with the Multisim User Interface as follows: his Multisim installation (NI Circuit Design Suite - Educational version). The UI shows multiple toolbars open (picture attached) whenever he tries to do a schematic capture, e.g. for a new circuit.

We have tried resetting the UI to the default (Options -> Customize User Interface -> Toolbars -> Reset All. We have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling NI Circuit Design Suite, but the problem recurs whenever he tries to start a schematic capture.

I have contacted our local NI support team, but they have not been able to solve the problem.

Any suggestions/solutions most appreciated.

Hi Tien,

I stumbled across the config files while trying to help my colleague recover his UI and managed to reset it to the default (default_ms_edu.ewcfg) file. The link you provided explains a lot & will be most useful if I need to reset the UI at any time in the future.

I am having the same problems, have anyone posted anything on this problem?

I have tried using the link above, and did follow the instructions, however my UI is still not defaulting back to the original. Also, when I look at the User Settings under the General Preferences, it is "Grayed Out."  I am thinking something has to be corrupted, since my user is the Administrator of the computer, so the configuration folder for the UI configuration file, I have the read/write access to it.  Any thoughts where else I can look to figure this out. I have Ver 10.1.1
