I am developing a set of circuit diagrams that have to be complementary.
Now I run into the problem that the component names change from one project to the other.
Is there a way to adjust the component numbering manually?
When I have multisim renumber the components automatically it becomes a mess.
Does anyone have a suggestion for me? I have been trying all kinds of solutions but most of these create error messages.
When I remove the components and rebuild part of the circuits, at a certain point multisim renumbers the components again automatically. I cannot stop that, the only option is to press "OK"...
In the attachment is my circuit diagram.
I wish to have opamps numbered U1A, U1B, U1C, U1D, U2A, U2B etc.
Further I would like to have the power pins show only on the U?A OpAmps, so I can indicate them to be connected once instead of four times.

Hi,
- To manually change the refdes(reference designator), double-click on the component and go to the Label tab.
- When you have a multi-section component like an opamp which shows the power pins on each symbol, it is not really a good idea to modify an instance of the symbol and remove these pins. When you will connect one of the pins to power, you will see that an x will appear on the remaining sections telling you that this pin is now connected.
Hope this helps.

Hello Tayyab,
Thanks,
The problem is solved. Because I had some new families with identical prefixes I could not rename the unites before. Now it is solved because the prefixes of the IC's are uniquely set to U
Your help was great!
