How does the n turns ratio works in Multisim 10?

hi friend

i am trying to simulate one flyback converter in the multisim software 10.1 version. There i didnt find the option to change the turns ratio of the transformer. please guide me . How to set the primary and secondary turns ratio

thank  u

Try the TS_XFMR1 or TS_IDEAL component in the TRANSFORMER family of the Basic group in the Master Database.

Thank you for your reply

I am not finding options under Transformer library. I am having options under non-linear transformer. how to set the transformer turns ratio under non-linear transformer library

i am using multisim 10.1 version.

please provide some document regarding how to set turns ratio

i followed few steps:

non-linear transformer-----> Edit Model ------>

R0 2 5 66
    L0 5 6 146m
    A0 (6 1) (7 0) nlt_pq_4_12_lcpl_0
    A1 (7 😎 nlt_pq_4_12_mcore
    A2  (9 3) (8 0) nlt_pq_4_12_lcpl_1
    L1 9 10 1.64m
    R1 10 4 720m
.MODEL nlt_pq_4_12_lcpl_0 lcouple(num_turns=1.622K)
.MODEL nlt_pq_4_12_mcore core(

+   B_array=[0 1 1.5 1.7]
+   area=130u length=76.15m
+   input_domain=10m fraction=TRUE mode=1)
.MODEL nlt_pq_4_12_lcpl_1 lcouple(num_turns=178)

R0 2 5 66    L0 5 6 146m    A0 (6 1) (7 0) nlt_pq_4_12_lcpl_0    A1 (7 😎 nlt_pq_4_12_mcore    A2  (9 3) (8 0) nlt_pq_4_12_lcpl_1    L1 9 10 1.64m    R1 10 4 720m.MODEL nlt_pq_4_12_lcpl_0 lcouple(num_turns=1.622K).MODEL nlt_pq_4_12_mcore core(+   H_array=[0 13.89 51.58 222.22]+   B_array=[0 1 1.5 1.7]+   area=130u length=76.15m+   input_domain=10m fraction=TRUE mode=1).MODEL nlt_pq_4_12_lcpl_1 lcouple(num_turns=178)

Here which parameter i need to change to set turns ratio?

please do some need full

Try the NLT_VIRTUAL component. You can modify the transformer properties by double clicking on it.

There is no option called NLT_VIRTUAL,

i have only following options under Non- Linear transformers  library

NLT_PQ_4_10

NLT_PQ_4_16

NLT_PQ_4_20

NLT_PQ_4_24

NLT_PQ_4_28

NLT_PQ_4_36

NLT_PQ_4_48

NLT_PQ_4_56

NLT_PQ_4_120

If i want to keep primary/secondary turns ratio as 1.75, where to edit in the following parameter?

R0 2 5 66    L0 5 6 146m    A0 (6 1) (7 0) nlt_pq_4_12_lcpl_0    A1 (7 😎 nlt_pq_4_12_mcore    A2  (9 3) (8 0) nlt_pq_4_12_lcpl_1    L1 9 10 1.64m    R1 10 4 720m.MODEL nlt_pq_4_12_lcpl_0 lcouple(num_turns=1.622K).MODEL nlt_pq_4_12_mcore core(+   H_array=[0 13.89 51.58 222.22]+   B_array=[0 1 1.5 1.7]+   area=130u length=76.15m+   input_domain=10m fraction=TRUE mode=1).MODEL nlt_pq_4_12_lcpl_1 lcouple(num_turns=178)

what is the meaning of num_turns=178?

if i change this value to 1.75 i am not getting my desired output.

what parameter i need to change here?

pls do some need full

Thank you

The NLT_VIRTUAL component is located under the BASIC_VIRTUAL family.

How to choose two isolated secondary winding and one primary winding.

I found the centre-tap trasformer, but i didnt find two secondary which is isolated from each other.

please help me out

For simulation purposes, try this:
1 - Place two transformers
2 - Connect their primary windings in series
3 - Use the secondary windings as 2 independent coils

Hope that helps.
