Hi all,
So I have made a simple circuit in multisim with bunch of resistors and capacitors. I choosed random footprints for them and when I export the design to utilboard, no surprise that I get wrong footprints (e.g. a smd capacitor instead of normal electrolyt one).
I have the components in my hands, some normal 1/4 watt resistors and some elec capacitors.
I am not asking for this two type of components only, but rather I would appriciate it if you tell me how is the correct approach to guess or match the correct footprint. If its a big story maybe you can link me some articles or something?
Here is my working and tested prototype that I want to have it as a real PCB:
As you can see there are some very typical capacitors, diodes and resistors. I think I don't have problem with IC's as they are more straight forward to choose theire footprint.
Thanks for your time in advance!

Hi,
I think that you can use the links below and if you also google it, you can find a lot of stof about the footprint. This needs a lot of experiance to find the best footprint match with your components. I hope this helps and you can solve your problem.
