How to find the substitute for 74185 and 74184 in Multisim?

I am working on converting BCD and binary code in Multisim V12.0 to make a calculator circuit, but I cannot find 74185 and 74184. Does any one know the substitute IC chip or equivalent circuits that have the same function as 74185 and 74184?

Hello,

I couldn't find anything BCD to binary converters in our library. The next best thing would be to find a SPICE model for the component you're looking for or alternatives. If you can't find anything but you are versed in SPICE and you just want to make sure the model is in your schematic then I would write up a SPICE code that takes inputs and predefined outputs depening on the input (I'm not an expert but I know this cna be done). Otherwise, I'm unaware of how else you could get to simulate this.

Kind regards,

Hello,

I am glad that you are willing to help me.Smiley Happy

I just have some knowledge in SPICE and am not versed in it.(I am still studying in high school). However, I would like to give a try. I want to create 9 bits Binary/BCD and BCD/Binary converter models in Multisim Component Wizard, and enter the SPICE you write for me.

Thanks

Baixiao

Hi,

I said I would if I was you in your case 😞 Sorry but I am actually not that great in SPICE myself, and have no idea how to do that. I just think it's possible. I'll ask around see if I can get something for you, but you should also look around the web to see if you can find any alternatives.

Kind regards,
