Hp and/or Techtronix scope on Multisim and GRAPHER

Solved!

Is there anyway to have the results of the Tecktronix and the HP o-scopes in Multisim appear in the Grapher?  Not sure why they don't but they don't.

Hi,

You can't connect directly Multisim with third party instruments and import the signals from the scopes into Multisim. If you are able to get the information on the scope and create a .csv file with that information, you can import that file into Multisim.

I took this from another forum.

"The Piecewise linear source (PWL) accepts data as voltage or current vs. time. You can find this part by selecting Place>>Component, go to the "Sources" group then select "Signal voltage sources". Place this part on the work area, double-click on it and there should be an option to open a .txt file.

Tien P."

In this case, you will need to save the .csv file as txt using a different software.

Regards.

The scopes I am talking about are supplied by Multisim in the Instruments bin.  Yes, they are third party, but since Multisim has seen fit to provide them, it would be nice to see the ability to visualize and format the results on the Grapher in the same manner that we can see the 2-channel and the 4-channel Multisim scope results.  I am aware that those two scopes are really just interfaces to the Transient Analysis mode, but it shouldn't be too difficult to take the data from these two supplied third party scopes and feed it into the Grapher.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay in my answer. I was looking for information that help us with your question. Unfortunately, those vendor scopes are more for traning for real ones and get used to how they work in real life.  The supported features for the Tektronix scope are listed on the next link.
