Internal Error 2738 - Can't install NI Circuit Design Suite

Hello

I've tried to install NI Circuit Design Suite V10.0.0 and V10.0.1 a couple of times now, but I get the same error all the time.

Restarting my computer doesn't help, and I'm shure my PC is good enough (2.8 GHz, 1.5 GB ram, Nvidea 6800GS/XT, 500+ GB space) for this program to run.

I have Windows XP PRO English with SP2 as my OS.

I tried to install this file: ftp://ftp.ni.com/evaluation/EWB/NI_Circuit_Design_Suite_10_0.exe

and: ftp://ftp.ni.com/support/circuitdesignsuite/10.0.1/NI_Circuit_Design_Suite_10_0_1.exe

Both gave the same errors:

The NI Circuit Design Suit 10 Core installation has failed with the following error.

Internal Error 2738

Continue?

[Yes] [No]

The NI Circuit Design Suite Support and Upgrade Utillity installation had failed with the following error.

Internal Error 2738

exactly I've the same problem as on this topic: http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=6170&message.id=2982, but there was no solution for the problem (as far as I was capable to read).

I hope someone has a solution for this problem...

Hi JB,

I searched Microsoft website for this error code and there are two suggestions I found:

1. Re-register the vbscript.dll
1. Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt
2. Type CD %windir%\system32
3. regsvr32 vbscript.dll

   2.  Try to install Multisim again and if it fails, visit Microsoft website and download Windows Script 5.7.
