The schematic that you posted would be an equivalent representation of how a schematic would look with a true LDR in it.  I will see if i can find a symbol for a real LDR for you to use. even if you can't simulate it then you would still be able to maybe draw and print it and even transfer it to Ultiboard if need be.

This lack of an LDR or photocell (CdS cell) in the library database is a real annoyance for educators and probably hobbyists as well.

Can the engineers not create one and and make a database that has opto parts in it.
