I know Multisim isn't supported for Linux, but I was hoping someone from the community has successfully installed Multisim 10.1 using Wine.
Despite running "sh winetricks fakeie6 gecko dotnet20" on the shell before running the installer, the installation still fails stating it needs IE4 or newer. I assume this is a required component due to the online activation screens, but do I really need to install IE6 on my machine?
I'm running openSuSE 11.0 (2.6.25.16-0.1-pae), wine 0.9.64, and Multisim 10.1.
Thanks to anyone who can help!

I've got the same problem.
I'm running wine-1.0.0 on slackware 12.1
The Multisim installer says it needs IE 4 or better, and the ie6 installer says a newer version of internet explorer is already installed.
Since there's enough support for applications needing IE under wine, there must be a way to install multisim, is there?

Thanks for the update -- re: Parallels, I have been running Multisim on my Mac (using Parallels to virtualize an XP machine) for a couple years now and it has always worked well (and fast!).
