I am pretty new to Multisim, and part of a project I am carrying out requires the use of Ladder Logic. I have noticed that the software provides some ladder logic features such as contactors, coils and Digital Input/Output devices woth 8 pins each.
Picture pin 1 only of the ladder logic input device connected to an open switch, with pin 1 of the output device connected to an LED which is turned off. Is there any possible way to link the two devices so that when the switch closes on the input, the LED output turns on.
I know there are other ways of doing this such as logic gates but the practical setup that will be carried out after this simulation will use a PLC setup so I'd prefer that the simulation is as close to PLC operation as possible.
