MAX 232 PROBLEM IN MULTISIM v.11

Hi,

I am working on a current project utilising Multisim. The specifications of the project are to design and simulate using Multisim a microcontroller 8051/52 driven LCD circuit. The circuit will display a scrolling message which can be entered from a keyboard.

The plan was to use a serial terminal but the MAX 232E provided in the Multisim parts list has no functionality.

Is there any way to upgrade or add (ie spice code) to this part?

Hi,

You will need to search on the manufacturer's website for a spice model. Once you have a spice model, you can make a new component in Multisim by following the tutorial in the link below:
