The installer fails to recconnaise .net framework 4.0 already installed on my computer and refuses to install. Is there a way to correct this without trying to install it again.

thanks for any help.

Hi Magnus,

Can you do a screen shot with the error message from the Circuit Design Suite installation, I will investigate this issue.

Hi Mahnus,

Can you have a look at this knowledge base and see if it applies to you:

Can you tell me where you downloaded the .net framwork 4.0, let me try it on a fresh machine and test this out.

When I looked at my registry this is what I see under:

HKey_Local Machine\Software\Microsoft

 Framework 4_0.jpg

I downloaded it with windows update. This is a new computer, I just got it. I am running windows 7 home premium.

In the registry it shows that I have the same version number as you. It looks the same.

Let me know if you need any more information.
