If I make a change to the schematic, an asterisk appears next to the schematic name on the title bar as well as the design tab. If this asterisk appears, then when I try to close the file, I am warned that I will loose data, such as...
And, if I select a single net in the schematic view and make a change to a parameter for that net, MS shows this asterisk, and all this is fine.
The problem comes when the spreadsheet view is opened. If I change a setting for a net in the spreadsheet view, the change is accepted, but the modified file asterisk does not appear. And, if I try to close the file, I don't receive the same warning dialog as shown above.

If a design uses hirarcical blocks, and the files for the HBs are moved while the design is closed, when the design is opened, MS asks the user if they would like to locate the file that the HB references. Once this is done, the HB is updated with the new path to the file. This is a change to the HB, which is a change to the main file and should be recognized by MS but is not (no asterisk). This causes a similar outcome as above issue, where a change to the file is made, but not acknowledged by MS, so MS doesn't ask the user if they'd like to save the modified file before closing the program.
