MS 12.0.1: Customize interface images now appear black

Hi,

Ran into this situ today.  I imagine this will go away once I wipe out the configuration file, which makes MS generate a new one based on defaults.

Hello,

This seems to be some kind of corruption with the menu. All those blocks should be different colours and that's why when you select one at random you got a green block. Is this behaviour observed in any design of Multisim you have and on any new custom toolbar command without an icon?

Kind Regards,

I tried deleting

C:\Users\Greg\AppData\Roaming\National Instruments\Circuit Design Suite\12.0\config\standard_ms_pro.ewcfg.

This puts everything back to defaults, including the toolbar.  I then tried to add a toolbar button that didn't have an image to the toolbar and selected image and text radio button.  Still had black images.

I then deleted

C:\Users\Greg\AppData\Roaming\National Instruments\Circuit Design Suite\12.0\config\User Buttons.bmp

and tried the same thing again (default tool bars).  Found that I got color images back in the images menu.  Then, I tried moving a button up to the tool bar that didn't have an image associated with it, selected "image and text" radio button, selected an image from the list, then clicked edit.  Edited the image as I pleased and clicked OK.  The image next to the toolbar button turned black, and going back to the image selection list, all images there appear black as well.

Looks like if a user edits an image from the list of images, it corrpts User Buttons.bmp.  If I delete User Buttons.bmp and restart MS, MS replaces it with a fresh one and the images come back fine.  Seems kinda messed up.

Hello,

Reproducible. Will create a corrective action.

As a side note, it unfortunately seems that the only way to backtrack out of the black images is by deleting the file and getting a new one from Multisim. I can find no way of getting the images back once you try to add an image to an imageless command.

Thanks!
