MULTISIM power?

I don't see how to select to display the POWER being dissipated in a component other than a resistor!

I have a transistor that I would dearly love to see the power dissipation of, but I don't see P(Q5) in the list of available things to plot.

I tried being sneaky and put a 0.001 ohm resistor in the collector lead, and a 1 meg resistor across E-C,  with the goal of plotting I(R10) times V( R11 ), but dang it, there is no V(R11) either!

Any ideas?    Am I missing something obvious?

Hello,

Sneaky is fine... But if you are looking for power dissipation (so (V1-V2)*i across the transistors e-c?) You can not only input your own equations (Add expression...), so the V(emitter net)-V(collector net) (which will look something like V(2) - V(4)) then the current passing through there, BUT you can also add your own variables when conducting analyses - I'm assuming you are running an analysis. These variables can be found in the output section (where you add the variables) as Add device/model parametr... It will let you select the component, which component specifically, and the parameter to use as a variable. Then you can use these as outputs or even use them in your expressions.

Kind regards,
