More Diagramms in Bode Plot

good evening once more.

I'm plotting the graphs from filters on bode plotter.

Cause I have more filter circuits i would like to view them in one bode plot rather in the graph (in viewing menu) otherwise its difficult to compare them.

How do i do that ?

thx

You can save the data, convert to a text file and download it into Excel using import (or other graphing program.)  I've done this for articles.

There are two ways of doing this. You should have 1 Bode analyser for every Bode graph that you want to generate.

To copy one graph into a second one, you should:

  1.  Run your simulation and verify the result of each Bode analyser
  2. Click on the Grapher button or click View>>Grapher
  3. You will see multiple tabs in the Grapher View. You will get 1 graph for every simulation you perform for every body analyser (or other instrument)
  4. Right click on the trace that you want to copy from and select Copy Trace
  5. In the list that comes up, select the graph that you want to copy the trace to
  6. Click OK

Multisim's grapher can also let you overlay multiple traces into a new graph. To do this, you should:

  1. Perform steps 1 to 3 of the previous set of instructions
  2. Select one of the graphs that you want to overlay
  3. Click the Overlay traces button (its a button in the tool bar)
  4. Select the other graph that you want to overlay with
  5. Click OK
Multisim's graphing capabilities go quite beyond simple overlays and copying. You can use equations and other techniques to help you better visualize and analyze your data. The best way to learn it them is to play around with the graphing tool.

Hi,

I find the graph too small. Is there a way to enlarge this?

Jojo Uy,

For the built in instruments, most can be enlarged by dragging the lower right corner with the mouse.   For the Grapher, you can easily enlarge this window (it behaves like a normal window when docked or you can expand as I just mentioned by dragging  the corner if it is a floating modal window).

For any other formatting size you can print the Grapher (formatted) to a PDF document using generally available print drivers (new PCs seem to come with them, I've used something like PDF995.com and they all seem to work well for printing/reporting purposes).

Pat

Hi,

Thank you. Could you also help me connect a bode plotter on the file in "Flyback_VM_UC3842.ms10" mentioned in

http://forums.ni.com/t5/Circuit-Design-Suite-Multisim/UC3842-model-is-not-working-at-all/td-p/104273...?

Somehow I cant make the bode plotter work on this file but can successfully make it work on simple RC filter. I am trying to get the plot between the comp pin and the output. Thanks.
