Multi-page bus rotation problem

I'm running into some trouble using bus connections on a multi-page schematic.

On the main page, I've created two subcircuits. Both contain a bus (RFBoard-data), with  hierarchical bus connectors. 

On the main page bus connection pins show up on both subschematic blocks, however one of them is rotated:

If I open the edit symbol screen I cannot change the rotation.

Deleting and recreating the connectors has no effect. This happened twice on my schematic. How can I fix this?

It seems like using an off-page connector is the way to go here:

Buses with the same name are parts of the same bus. They need not be connected physically. To connect a bus to other pages of the same design, use Bus Off-Page Connectors, as in the examples shown in the figure below (1).
