MultiSim 10.0 Permission errors

I have been running MultiSim version 10.0 in a classroom with no problems all year.  Today, when students loaded the program, they all received the error message that the .PRD file could not be read. 

The program works fine from an administrator account.

I tried giving students full permissions on the program folder and made sure that the perms filtered down to the .PRD file. This resulted in the program loading without error messages, but students were unable to place components. The component menu option is grayed out for them.

Anyone else having this problem?

An uninstall, reinstall was the fix.... a time consuming task for a 30 computer lab.

You could try this fix suggested in another thread. The problem sounds similar to yours - users cannot place a component within multisim. Link is given below:
