Multisim - need some advice regarding component modification / pin management.

Hello, I need some help regarding component pin management.

I'm using the switch from supplementary_switches > 7Pos_rotary (8 pins). But my footprint for the switch has 10 pins, plus 2 snap-in pins.

I want to set at least 2 snap-in pins as ground connected. Currently, I'm using an additional custom dummy component that does not include in the simulation, it's simply assigned to the footprint with necessary pins. 

Curious if there is a more elegant way. Maybe assign some additional "virtual" pins for the component or some other way.

Having a similar situation with the potentiometer component. I need to have 2 additional pins for the footprint which is ground connected.
