Ok, as much as I was against the restore I did it anyway.
For informational purposes: - I restored to factory settings, using the Acer cd's. This includes all factory drivers and programs.
- I removed all the unnecessary programs that came with the installation.
- I installed Multisim.
Multisim is now running faster then ever. Obviously a (CPU) driver was missing.
Currently installed Intel drivers:
- Intel Matrix Storage Manager
- Components of Intel Management Service
- Intel Turbo Boos Technology Driver
