Ultiboard Default Text Font

I can't find a way to set a default font for text attributes.

Every time I transfer a design from MS (or add a new part or bit of text) it always defaults to "Microsoft Sans Serif".

I then have to spend ages selecting and fixing loads of RefDes's and visible values.

Any ideas please?

Hi Bob,

There is no way to configure a default font for text attributes, but here is a workaround:

1. Select all the parts.
2. Right-click one of the parts and select Properties.
3. Go to the Attributes tab and click on REFDES. You will get two warnings, just click OK on them.
4. Click on the Change button, the Attribute window opens.
5. Select a new font and click OK.
6. Click OK to close the Part Properties window.

The font style will change in all the reference designators.

Thanks for that suggestion and yes, it does help.

(There was a side effect in that it also set all font sizes to some arbitrarily large value - even though I didn't specify a size.)
