Ultiboard: Splitting a trace to delete half of it

Is there a way to split a long trace in half so that half of it can be deleted?  If I select the trace then the whole segment gets selected, but sometimes I only want to delete up to a certain via or something like that.

Hi M3nth,

You can add a vertex to a long trace. This adds a segment to a line (basically seperating the line into two) and allows you to delete each segment individually. Just right click on your trace, there should be an option called "Vertex" with a submenu. The "Add Vertex" option should be active once the trace is selected. Keep selecting the segments and using the "Add Vertex" option if you wish to break down the trace multiple times.

Thanks--that's what I was looking for.

I also found that if I move the trace on either side of the via just slightly, that sometimes it will put the trace back in the same place and create a vertex for me.  That didn't always work though.
