Ultiboard footprint in Multisim

Solved!
Go to solution

How can I get a footprint that I created in Ultiboard to show up in Multisim?  If I try to back annotate from Ultiboard to Multisim I just get an error saying that the part is not found in the library.

Part II - is there any way to just create the footprint in Multisim instead?

Thanks very much

Hi,

Have a look at this knowledge base, I hope it will help.

Hi,

I tried this technique that you said, but I did not see the footprint show up in Multisim.  I was able to make a footprint and associate it with a component in Multisim earlier, but it has not worked since.  The first time I was successful it was a custom footprint for a trimmer pot.  The footprint shows up in Ultiboard, and I can place it on the board just fine.  I am using 10.1 for reference.

Thanks,

Jared

I resolved it, or it resolved itself.  I restarted Multisim and Ultiboard and it appeared in the database.  That is strange nonetheless.
