In 1998 I bought the studentversion 5.62.0 of Ultiboard.
I am a hobbyist and I use the programm only 2 times a year.
In Windows XP I could use the compatibilitymodus 'Windows98/Windows ME' to use the programm.
I now use Windows 7 and I get the message to edit manually thde registerentrys.
There is no possibility anymore to go from Ulticap to Ultiboard and that's one of the most useful part of the whole
The 'Export-function' shows only the possibility 'Library'.
Searching on the Internet did not give the solutions.
Who knows which entry- keys I have to make?

Hello Zet,
Officially I have to tell you that this is not supported.
I would advise you to not mess too much with your registry entries.
I think a Virtual machine might be a safer solution.

Hi Thierry
Thanks for your answer.
A virtual; machine is indeed a good solution.
My idea is: most is working so it must be not to difficult to change the registry.
It's amazing most of the software still works!

Hi Thierry
I'm working with a virtualbox and all is working well.
When I open an old .ddf I can see Ultiboard is starting and making a screen and then ..... the computer hangs.
The old .sch from Ulticap I can read by opening the .sch and save it as .utsch.
In Ultiboard there is no such a possibility.
Can I convert this .ddd-files?
Greetings

Hi Thierry
The last month I worked with Ultimate.
In the Utwin folder I saw UCwin32.exe.
I worked on a 64 bit W7.
So I tried a W7-32bit computer and later a W8-32bit computer and all is working great!
So if you want to help other people:
1 Don't start from the CD
2 Rightclick 'Setup.exe' and go to 'Properties' - 'Compatibility' - and make the choice "windows 98/ME'
3 Install the programm
4 Go to c:\UTwin and go to 'UCwin32.exe' and go to 'Properties' - 'Compatibility' - and make the choice "windows 98/ME'
5 Go to c:\UTwin\ULTIshell.exe and go to 'Properties' - 'Compatibility' - and make the choice "windows XP (service pack 3)'
6 All is working!!!!!
Bye,
Ptr
