What happened to my Multisim?

This new version of Multisim (10.1.372) has symbols for component insertion which are illegible, inserting real components must be done through "PLACE" rather than via a button and the instrument tool bar has been removed -- is this supposed to be an upgrade?

All right, you can adjust the size of the symbols -- but it makes the GUI look like a PONG game on an Apple II+

jackinnj,

You can reset the icons and customize the GUI to your liking...

From the menu, go to Options -> Customize User Interface

To add/remove icon symbols for placement and other functions, click on the "Toolbars" tab and check the icon/toolbars you would like to display.   These toolbars are dockable, meaning you can position them to be locked on the top of the window or allowed to float in their own window.

To enlarge the icon symbols, go to the "Options" tab and select "Large Icons".

Finally my personal favorite customization section is the "Keyboard" tab, which allows you to assign a custom keystroke as a shortcut.  If you are looking to do things fast that are done repetitively, customize the shortcuts to make these tasks easier...  For example, I've change adding a junction <Ctrl+J> to <space> - much easier to place a T connection on a wire than <Ctrl+J>...

If anyone has any other recommendations on how to best use the toolbar/icons or shortcuts to improve the functionality and ease of use of Multisim, please let us know.
