Hello,

I am using MULTISIM 13.0 for simulating the ADS8320 macro model. HOwever, i am unable to get any sort of output from the ADC.

While trying to fix the error I decided to check the properties of the model, It was then I realized that the "Edit Model" button is disabled. I checked the properties of several other ICs and found "Edit Model" to be enabled.

Does this mean that ADS8320 is not modelled in Multisim 13.0, i.e., the functionality/behaviour of the IC is not defined and cannot be used for simulation?

Hi there,

This part is a layout-only component, it cannot be used in simulation. If you go to the Select a Component window a select this part, you'll notice that the Model manufacturer/ID field is empty.

In the same ADC_DAC Family, look for the ADC and ADC16 parts, they have generic models but could be useful for your design.
