One way to do this in the spreadsheet.Gotio Nets and then scroll right until you see the colum labeled Routing Layers. it should right now be saying 10 which means to route only the top. Hold the CTRL key and click each one until they are all highlighted thern Afer that just click on one and a dialog box will pop up. Put a check in the box for the bottom layer by clicking on the box. This will change all of them at the same time.
The codes for this are:
10=Top Layer only
01=Bottom Layer only
11=Both Layers
That way you know which layer is selected in the spreadsheet and which layer needs to be turned off and on.
What I have noticed is that this occurs when transfering from Multisim to Ultiboard. Even though you have 2 layers in Multisim, when it gets transfered for some reason Ultiboard only want to set the top layer active.
My solution is this. In Mutisim's spreadsheet there is an option under the Nets Tab to Lock PCB Settings. Change all the NOs to YES and then this will prevent Ultiboard from switching to just the top layer. With this workaround it will transfer properly from Multism to Ultiboard and both sides of the board will be active and routable.
