can't open labs from textbook cd

Problem Description :
I have an edition from my college (Grantham University), and I am trying to open up lab files from a CD in my textbook (Experiments in Electronics
Fundamentals & Electric Circuits Fundamentals, BUCHLA, Pearson/Prentice Hall).

I am supposed to be able to open some labs on this CD and be able to email the reports to my instructor (online college).  I double click on the lab file and it opens up MultiSim 10.1, but then just when I think its going to view the file, it says there is a registry error and to look in REGEDIT to fix.

NI Software :  Multisim, Ultiboard  version 10.1
NI Hardware :
Driver Version
:
OS :  Windows 7

Justin,

If you have the installation CD or the download for Multisim 10.1 I suggest doing a 'repair'.   In <Start> -> Settings -> Control Panel, select "Add or Remove Programs"

Go to the National Instruments Software (hit Change/Remove and a new window will open)...

Select the correct Multisim / Curcuit Design Suite version and hit 'Repair'.

If this does not help, you can try to send the file to my email address and I will try to open and send back...

I actually was contacted by email, throught my help ticket,  and it was suggested that I try to open the file through the Open command in Multisim itself.  This is working good so far.  But I cannot open a file through its folder, or off of the CD itself.  It opens and tries to open Mulitsim and runs through all of its start up commands, but just as soon as it is about to show the content of the file, it pops up a registry error type error.

So, I guess for now, I will just have to open up Multisim, then open the file through the File, Open command.
