Hello,

If you are unable to find a component in Multisim, you can use the Creating a Custom Component in NI Multisim tutorial.  You will require the SPICE model from the manufacturer's website, if you would like a simulating component.

Hope this helps.

Hello,

There are a few multiplexer models that you can use from our database (you can find 2, 4, and 8 channel selectors). A quick way to find these is to go Search... in the component selection screen and under function type mutiplexer. As for your specific component, you can try to find the SPICE model online, with this you can create a custom component.

like, would the information in this datasheet http://www.fairchildsemi.com/ds/MM/MM74HC4051.pdf be enough to make a spice model for the component?

Hello,

If you search MM74HC4051 SPICE model in the manufactuer's website or in a search engine you should be able to find something.  That is actually the datasheet that you have attached.  You might have to ask the manufacturer for the SPICE model if it not on the web.
