Hello,

What is the extension of the files that you want to open? Could you attach the file here?

Hi  Fernando,

Thanks for the reply. Attach is an example of such file. Please let me know if you need anything to resolve the issue. By the way, I had to zip up the file. You might have to unzip the folder to locate the file.

Hi,

Thanks for the file. Here is what you need to do to update your files to version 10:

  • Open Multisim 10.
  • Go to File>>Open.
  • In the Files of type field select Electronics Workbench 5 Files (*.ewb).
  • Browse your file version 5 file.
  • Click the Open button.
  • In the File Loading Options window leave the default values (or adjust them if necessary).
  • Click OK.
  • Multisim will open your old file.
  • Save the file.

Let me know how it works.

Hi Fernando,

I did follow the step that you posted above, however, I am still unable to open the file. There is an message pop up for ifle loading option, it contain the horizontal and vertical scale. I leave it at defaut which is 120 by 120. I then select ok. There is another message pop up saying " unable to complete circuit conversion" After there is nothing happen. From what I know, the file should have component that are alreardy in NI databse list, and it should not have any problem allocated the component. Please addice me as to what to do to open the file

thanks

It worked for me. Check the attached to see if it converted correctly.  I just accepted the default options.

Howard

I just read your post once more and realized you needed to convert to v10. Sorry. At least you know it works with v11.

Hi,

I converted the file using version 10.0, 10.1.1 and 11.0 (see attached file) and got no errors.

What's your Multisim version? Open Multisim and go to Help>>About Multisim. I have Version 10.0.343. Are you using the Student, Education, Base, Full or Power Pro Edition?

There is free update for your current version: 10.0.343. I can send you a link to download it but first I need to know your version (Student, Education, Base, Full or Power Pro). You can find this info in Help>>About Multisim.
