Hi,
I just encountered something strange.
For a LED customer, I designed a board with RGB leds, those leds are in a kind of 'constellation'
In order to work fast I grouped the R, G and B led, so the parts are always at the same distances from each other all over the board (8 to 16 groups of 3 leds)
When I make a BOM, then all is OK, I get all refdes of each led.
When exporting the parts centroids list: the leds do not show up in the list.
propably due to the grouping....
I'm still working with v10, so it is possible that this has been corrected..
Is this a known issue?
.
I will probably have to ungroup all and the export the parts centroids...
Stress stress stress....

Hi,
I did the test, and it went as I expected...
I had to ungroup all RGB led groups.
and when I exported my Pick and Place (Parts centroids) aftwerwards, the leds showed up separately in the list.
But the question is: why didn't they show up at all, when they were still grouped?

Hi Johan,
This was a defect in V10 and it was fixed in V11.

Great!
I'm still waiting to update my software (v10) since some of my customers also work in V10, and we exchange drawings quite often.
So it will take some time before we will eventually upgrade.
By the way, we only use Multisim for its schematics and Ultiboard for routing....
