Can anyone help me with my buildt RAM to display a 6? I'm suppose to use a 5V DC POWER battery, a ground, 6 SPDTs labeled: A, B, R, W, 3, 2, one 2 TO 4 DECODER, 4 NOT gates, 24 AND2s, 16 D FLIP FLOP WITH POSITIVE ASYNC SET& RESETs , 4 OR4s, and one DCD_HEX display? I have it all build. It is showing a 4 when switches A and B are on. The instructions are:
Finish wiring the circuit provide in ram.ms8. Add a decoder (either one you made or one of Electronic Workbench’s) and attach it to the left-hand side. Attach a printout of your finished circuit to your lab. Provide a set of instructions for writing a particular value to a particular location.
Provide a set of instructions for reading a particular value to a particular location.
Paste a copy of the circuit reading a 6 at location 2.

Hi Bridget,
None of the switches combination gives an output of 6. My recommendation is that you review the functionality of the circuit and double check the wiring of the components.

So I doubled checked and to be honest I have no idea what I'm looking for. The instructions said to finish building the RAM and I think that's what I did. I don't understand how to get anthing to show. I've been sitting here mix matching wires hoping that a six would appear. The professor doesn't go over this and we are expected to figure it out by ourselves, which for me I feel like I'm a lost because I've never done this before and I have no idea what's going on. Oh and not to mention I'm getting frustrated over my ROM too. Could you please explain to me how this works and how to make a number appear. If you could help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
