help with delayed blinking circuit

I'm trying to make a circuit in multisim so that when a switch is pressed, there will be a short delay(about 3 seconds), and then some LEDs will flash on and off for a few more seconds.

I've gotten the flashing light part working when using an a normal on/off switch, but now that I've added a circuit with a 555 timer, it seems the output voltage(and current) ends up falling far below the threshold to light my LEDs(about 20mA). Messing with the capacitance and resistance in the 555 timer system hasnt helped much either. how can I structure this to increase the voltage/amperature enough to power the LED transistor circuit for a few seconds?

Можно сделать такой алгоритм на простой логике ТТЛ или КМОП. 
Всего лишь 2 мультивибратора с разной частотой. Который с меньшей частотой сделать запускаемым вручную.

Hello! 
I appreciate the suggestion, however, one of my objectives for this circuit is to control the delay so that it the blinking light turns in a set amount of time after the switch is flipped, and im unsure how to do that in AC, since depending on when the switch is flipped the light may be delayed or turn on right away depending on the phase of the current

Ваша схема у меня не запустилась, не достигнулась сходимость, поэтому аналогичную схему построил, и просимулировал, соблюдая ваш алгоритм.
Простейший вариант с помощью RC цепи (R5, C3, R6 и источника напряжения)
